This week Jazmin and Robert interviewed Colmon Elridge, the new chair of the Kentucky Democratic Party.  They talked about how he plans to lead Democrats out of the hole they find themselves in by investing in better campaign infrastructures and better messaging, as well as what he brings as an individual to the chairmanship.
Before the interview, Jazmin and Robert discussed issues around the Breonna Taylor case and COVID-19 as usual, as well as talking about very messed up error in the Bar Exam scoring this year.

This week, in additional to the normal COVID-19 update, Jazmin runs down Daniel Cameron's lawsuit against Andy Beshear's COVID-19 restrictions and the religious arguments he has been making.  In addition, Robert and Jazmin do a set of criminal justice quick hits, and talk about some pieces of journalism they've been reading lately.

In the second half of this episode, Robert and Jazmin interview the Democratic leaders in the House and Senate, Rep. Joni Jenkins and Sen. Morgan McGarvey.  They discussed the upcoming legislative session and the planning that's already started for the 2022 election.
Before, Robert and Jazmin also give a COVID-19 update, an update on police and protesting in Louisville, and talk about bills to watch in the 2021 legislative session.

This week Jazmin and Robert discuss new COVID-19 restrictions put in place by Governor Beshear, and the Supreme Court of Kentucky case that ensured he would be able to put those restrictions in place.  In addition, they discussed the ascension of Colmon Elridge to chair of the Kentucky Democratic Party -- the first Black person to hold that title.
After that, the pair interviewed Rep. Buddy Wheatley from the 65th District -- the area that includes Covington.  He talked about the political future of Northern Kentucky, his role in leading the area, and what he thinks Democrats will be able to do this year in the legislative session.

This week Jazmin takes a look at the actions taken by Kentucky's attorney general over the past few weeks that don't have to do with Breonna Taylor, and Robert does a COVID-19 update.
The interview is with Nima Kulkarni, Kentucky State Representative from Louisville.  She talked about making progress on bills in 2021, the future of the Democratic Party in Kentucky, and what it means to her to have a Vice President whose mother was from India.

This week Jazmin and Robert speak about several topics touching the Breonna Taylor case, including two grand jurors and Kenneth Walker speaking on national television, protests at Daniel Cameron's house, and much more.  Robert explained how much worse COVID-19 is getting across the state, and Robert eulogized his grandfather by remembering his time spent in Ashland with his grandparents when he was young.
Rob Wiederstein, the state Representative in Henderson and parts of Daviess County, was our guest this week.  He talked about how running in 2020 is different from 2018, the impact of COVID-19 and the racial reckoning on the campaign of a Democrat outside a big city, and his thoughts on the likelihood of a bill to ban no-knock warrants in the 2021 session.  He also spoke about some of the bill he's carried in the previous session and hopes to in future session which deal with important but neglected healthcare issues.

This week Jazmin updated several parts of the Breonna Taylor story, including a resolution in the attempts to allow Grand Jurors to speak, the status of protestors' legal situation, and a media interview with Sgt. Mattingly, one of the police officers involved in Breonna Taylor's killing.  Robert gave an update about COVID-19, which is worse now than it's ever been, and it looks like it's getting even worse.
Our interview this week was with Jason Stroude, the Democrat in Senate District 17, who is taking on Damon Thayer.  He's a union member and a butcher, and hopes to bring a fresh perspective to Frankfort.  He's one of a set of new Democrats running in districts that include parts of Northern Kentucky, and talked to us about what he will do in Frankfort and how it differs from Damon Thayer's agenda.

This week we welcomed Rep. Attica Scott and her daughter Ashanti to speak about their arrest as well as their efforts in the fight for justice for Breonna Taylor.  Rep. Scott talked to us about "Breonna's Law", which she filed for the 2021 session, and Ashanti Scott talked to us about juggling her classes at UofL during the COVID-19 pandemic with participating in demonstrations and protests.
During the show, Robert previewed the 2020 Kentucky legislative elections, including seats where Democrats might pick up seats and places where Republicans are favored to pick up seats in both the House and Senate, throughout the state.  Jazmin talked through the developments in the Breonna Taylor grand jury, new evidence we've learned about in the case, and the ongoing protest movement, as well as a COVID update.  Jazmin also gave her take on the second constitutional amendment on the ballot this year.

This week Jazmin and Robert speak with two really great guests: Keturah Herron of the ACLU, and Attorney Kevin Glogower (who is representing a member of the Breonna Taylor grand jury in a lawsuit).  Ms. Herron spoke about the effort to pass Breonna's Law in Frankfort and the other priorities of the ACLU going into the 2021 session, and Mr. Glogower talked about the lawsuit he filed and what he hopes comes from the suit.
In addition, Jazmin talked about what we learned about the Breonna Taylor grand jury this week, and Robert did a COVID-19 update.
