This week, E.A. Duncan joins Robert to talk through some major issues in a huge week for news. The House GOP proposed a budget and passed it -- we talked through some of the major differences between the House and Executive budget. After the budget passed, Democrats stopped HB 475, the sales tax bill discussed on the show last week. E.A. and Robert talked about why that occurred and what might happen because of the actions taken by Democrats. Finally, the group discussed Andy Beshear's response to COVID-19, which has received high marks.

This week, Robert and Jazmin talked about several bills, including addressing the automatic transfer of juveniles to circuit court, banning corporal punishment, and significant changes to SBDM councils. Robert also talked about the use of fund transfers to balance the budget, and Andy Beshear taking a stand against Jonathan Hurst.
Also in this episode is an interview of Mike Eaves, candidate for Kentucky House in the 81st District in Richmond. He talked about why he's running, what he hopes to accomplish in Frankfort, and which legislators he thinks are doing a good job.

The pair also discussed Craig Bouchard's ouster at Braidy Industries and a Herald-Leader article about pension relief for quasi-governmental agencies.
Margaret Plattner joined Robert for the interview portion. She is running in House District 33 in northeastern Louisville and Oldham County. She talked to us about why she's running, how she's running, and what she hopes to do if she's elected to serve in Frankfort.

Linda Story Edwards, a Democratic Candidate in House District 6, joined Robert and Jazmin this week. She talked about running as a Democrat in Western Kentucky and what she learned from running in this race in 2018. She also touched on the tragic school shooting in Marshall County in 2018 and her reaction to the legislature's actions since then.
Jazmin and Robert analyzed two bills: the Sports Betting bill, which has passed out of a House Committee, and the School Safety bill, which would require SROs to carry firearms. Also discussed was SB 3, a constitutional amendment which would move the election of constitutional officers to Presidential years.

This week we interview one of the Democratic candidates for House District 81 -- Martina Jackson. She talked to us about her reasons for filing for office, what kind of campaign she is running, and her thoughts on some of the bigger issues in Kentucky politics.
During the first portion of the show, Jazmin analyzed Senate Bill 2, Robert talked about all the candidates who have filed to run for office, and the show brought back "Good Bill/Bad Bill". Robert also talked about the State of the Commonwealth address.

This week, we welcomed Chris Glasser to MOKP to talk about transportation. Specifically, we talked about the state's SHIFT plan and how it interacts with Metro Louisville's "Move Louisville" plan. The conversation evolved into a discussion about how state and local governments interact with respect to transportation issues, and how to develop a good transportation culture.
Jazmin and Robert talked about Charles Booker's decision to run for US Senate and talked about what the other Democratic candidates for US Senate have been up to recently. The General Assembly started on Tuesdsay, and Robert talked about the Senate's priority bills.
